The Science
From ancient oils to parabens — the history of lotion is the history of a problem.
In the 1700s oil and water solved the sticky skin problem — until bacteria arrived and the industry started adding preservatives. Formaldehyde. Then parabens, a class of chemicals that convert to formaldehyde in the body. We went back to the beginning, skipped the water, and built a waterless formula that needs no preservatives at all.
